Dennis Lyamuya, a motivational speaker and mountain guide, presented his views on his more than 200 ascents of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, during his presentation Wednesday in recognition of Black History Month.
He shares his unique African perspective on the pursuits of dreams and how education creates endless possibilities.
Lyamuya discussed how tenacity an determination in scaling mountains can be applied to life’s other challenges.
He is a Tanzanian Chagga tribal elder, the Mweke Wildlife College student president, advocate for ecotourism methods and a trusted advisor for the Asante Africa Foundation.
